Full-time Senior Environment, Health And Safety Engineer

at Maxim Phil. Operating Corp. in General Trias

Description:

Candidate will be responsible for

  • Environment , Health and Safety Programs of Cavite and Batangas Site. Job involves managing planning and Execution of Environment , Health and Safety programs for the Philippine operations.
  • Compliance to Regulatory requirements and Customer and audit requirements.
* Work will occur primarily at Maxim’s semiconductor plant in Cavite and Batangas Philippines, but it will also involve some interface work other Maxim sites located around the world.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Planning , Conceptualization of the EHS program for the Philippine operations
  • Compliance to Regulatory requirements. Preparing permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws
  • Seeing to it that the Emergency Response Organization is in place and be able to responds to actual emergencies.
  • Support / Conceptualize EHS Training and Development Program.
  • Handling of Central Safety committee.
  • Performs periodic Safety and other audits
  • Leads ISO 14000 and OSHA 18000 program in the future.
  • Works with QA and other organization in relation to customer audits related to EHS and CSR requirements
  • Works with Government Agencies, DOLE,DENR, DILG , etc and SEIPI in relation to compliance and industry issues
  • Work with Project manager in relation to construction safety requirements.

Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with min. 6 years of experience
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 14000 and OSHAS 18000 programs
  • Current knowledge of industry practices in relation to EHS and CSR programs
  • Certified Safety Practitioner by DOLE and Pollution Control Officer by DENR
  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading and understanding the English language
  • Strong understanding of government regulations for safety, environmental and other compliance
  • Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in EXCEL, WORD, Power Point,
  • Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Self starter, able to work with minimal supervision
