Engineering Manager
at My Service And Support Corporation in General Trias
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage group of engineers focused on web and software development
• Coordinate the activities and deliverables of software engineering team including planning, estimating tracking internal and external dependencies, eliminating obstacle to successful delivery of product, reporting progress, working across groups of dependencies, ensuring the engineers follow a development process, tracking progress on project plans and coordinating access to equipments
• Contribute to technical directions of the products at an architect level
• Manage product development and interact heavily with other department such as Marketing
• Providing managerial direction and motivating individuals to ensure team meets schedule and quality of commitment
• Conduct performance reviews, providing career growth opportunities and recruiting for open positions
• Support Marketing Department
Essential Functions:
• Analysis of product requirement
• Determine technical and development needs
• Help on project planning, design and development approach
• Plan and prepare road maps for product development
• Assigned and distribute tasked to Software Engineers
• Monitors progress of software development
• Support Engineers and help resolve problem that may incur in the development
• Coordinate with external and internal department regarding software development issues and needs
• Create reports on development progress
• Coordinate with higher level management and other department regarding software development needs and status
• Mentor software engineers on new technologies
• Prepare performance reviews
Preferred Skills:
• College graduate preferably Computer Science, Information Technology or Equivalent degree
• 5+ years software and web development experience
• 2-5 years project management experience
• Knowledge on the following development language: C#, ASP, ASP.Net,VB.Net,
• Knowledge on the following web technologies: Javascript, XML, JQuery, AJAX, XAML, XSL
• Knowledgeable in the following server technologies: SQL Server 7.0/2000/2005/2008, MS Access 2000, Oracle, IIS, Streaming servers
• Experience in the following OS : Windows 2000/Vista/2003, Windows 7
• Knowledgeable on the following development approach : Agile, Scrum, SDLC, Test Driven
• Knowledgeable in SEO
