Qa / Qc Manager

Primary Responsibilities and Authorities:
1. Assures consistent quality of production by developing using ISO9001:2008 quality management systems; validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff. Oversees the maintenance of quality procedures.
2. Act as liaison with customer’s quality/engineer representative on all quality issues. Promote quality principles and continuous improvement throughout the company.
3. Stop any process in the company which in his/her discretion or judgment may affect the quality of work or product.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1.) Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. SPC applications. Reviews all non-conformances and Tool Discrepancy Reports.
2.) Meets with Operations Manager to review weekly schedule.
3.) Facilitates weekly quality meeting; attends daily production meeting.
4.) Acts as client quality liaison; oversees the receiving and sampling of parts, analyzes/reviews data to be sent to customers, corrective actions, assist during customer & surveillance audits.
5.) Participates in engineering design tolerance reviews, APQP, PPAP process and makes print change recommendations to customer.
6.) Researches and resolves production quality issues; evaluates potential non-conformances and takes corrective action. Establishes all in process inspection plans. Uses continuous improvement to implement preventive versus reactive quality techniques.
7.) Maintains company ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS16949:2009 certification. Oversees the auditing and arranges schedule on a timely basis. Conducts plant wide training for same.
8.) Directs the QA and QC Personnel, assign work, reviews performance, makes wage recommendations, and provides coaching/counseling as needed. Enforce Company’s policies. Rules and regulations.
9.) Organizes and trains Quality and other personnel in proactive approaches with total quality management (TQM) and other quality methods, including metrology
10.) Keeps management team appraised with timely information and COPQ reports using QMA database to manage key metrics. Posts same communicate with all employees.
11.) Oversees establishment of quality plans that ensure meeting customer expectations. Validates quality processes by establishing products specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
