Tooling Manager
at Big Philippines Corp in Silang
Primary Responsibilities and Authorities:
The Tooling Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the following areas and requirements are successfully achieved to the required company standards.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that all tooling is designed to achieve manufacture design intent,
Liaising with internal & external customers to implement tooling specifications;
2. Managing tool repairs by coordinating internal or external resources;
3. To manage the purchase/procurement of new tooling (where applicable) including negotiations on cost, lead-time, specification etc.
4. Evaluating and specifying customer enquiries for cost calculations
5. To perform project management of all tooling activities
6. Allocating work to, and overseeing the work of the tooling team
7. To provide supportive management to coach, develop and motivate the tooling team
8. To deploy staff effectively and ensure they perform to agreed standards
9. To participate with the process owner in the trialing of tooling
10. To ensure all tool room machines and equipment are operational and available as required and that the tooling team have adequate tools to perform their duties.
11. Providing regular reports on tooling design and manufacture performance
12. Reallocating tasks (and rescheduling) whenever needed to achieve deadlines
13. To assist in the development of equipment and processes used in the manufacture of deep stream products
14. To assist in new product introduction and the development of associated processes and equipment
15. To participate in manufacturing process/reviews of products as required
16. Ensure workplace organization and cleanliness is maintained by effective housekeeping of plant, tools and equipment and maintaining clean and unobstructed working areas.
