Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be responsible for strategic purchasing of Electro-mechanical commodities in terms of cost, negotiation, business share allocation, alternate sourcing, supplier management to achieve maximum benefits thru proper utilization of system resources & effective control.
• 50% COSTING AND NEGOTIATION
• Finalizes price agreements with % share allocation based on merits & maintains them systematically to ensure maximum utilization, effectiveness & realization of business contracts with suppliers / manufacturers per agreed terms on continuous basis.
• Negotiates prices per monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annual basis to achieve cost benefits per management targets.
• Strategizes Cost Down, Localization, Sourcing efforts per defined targets.
• Maintains & reviews scientific cost calculation matrix for various part categories to ensure competent costs.
• Creates Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) based on the agreed terms and conditions with the vendor.
• 30% SOURCING
• Finds alternate sources for improved localization better cost & smooth parts supply.
• Vendor management thru consolidation activity to streamline supply chain gaps for effective parts procurement & quantity scale merit benefits.
• Keeps track of Raw Material (R/M) trends regularly per local & global market trends.
• 20% KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR MONITORING
• Resolves critical issues on regular basis without effecting manufacturing / production operations.
• Plans routine work thru effective utilization of supply chain tools.
• Achieves defined quarterly & yearly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets per management guidelines.
• Provides purchasing updates to top management on regular basis.
• Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Participates in global synergy workshops.
• Accomplishes purchasing data set up such as sourcing rules, sourcing assignments, processing leadtime, fix lot multiple, approved supplier lists.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least 3 – 5 year(s) experience in sourcing or purchasing of electro-mechanical parts like switches, circuit breakers and contractors.
• Experience & knowledge in evaluating & analyzing costing of electro-mechanical parts.
• Should have adequate knowledge on Raw Material trends & process cost models.
• Should have good negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
