Central Bank of the Philippines granted RB Tanza the Authority to Operate a Rural Bank.
15 November 2022
RB Tanza is inaugurated and opened for business at San Agustin St. Corner Sto. Domingo St., Poblacion, Tanza, Cavite. It first President and General Manager was Mr. Raul J. Fojas.
1984
Mr. Edwin S. Fojas, an MBM graduate of the Asian Institute of Management and a graduate of De La Salle University, took over the reins of management up to the present, due to the untimely demise of Mr. Raul J. Fojas.
1989
To accommodate its increasing clientele with office space, the bank transformed its office into a two-storey building with a total floor area of approximately 400 square meters.
- In the same year, the bank introduced computerization of its savings and loan accounts, backed by services of MB Phils., Inc. as its software provider.
1992
The Bank opened its first extension office along A. Soriano Highway in Tanza, Cavite in anticipation of the relocation of the public market as well as the growing commercial establishments within the vicinity. The said extension office was converted into the bank’s first branch in 1994.
1995
Pursuant to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’(BSP) liberalization program and to open doors to potential markets, the Bank applied with the BSP to establish three (3) branches within Cavite and adopted its business or trade name “BANGKO MABUHAY”.
August 1995
Molino Branch along Zapote-Paliparan Road, Bgy. Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite was inaugurated.
October 1995
Indang Branch opened at De Ocampo St., Poblacion, Indang, Cavite.
January 1996
Naic Branch, a two-storey commercial building was completed and inaugurated at Poblete St., Corner Balong Pari, Poblacion, Naic, Cavite.
August 2006
Authorized Capital Stock was increased from P 50 Million to P 100 Million.
June 2008
Opened a satellite office at Camerino Avenue corner San Juan St., Dasmariñas, Cavite to serve as loan collection and disbursement point (LCDP) for microfinance clients. September 2008. Head Office was relocated with construction of three-storey buildling on Hi-way Branch site at the A. Soriano Highway, Bgy. Daang Amaya III, Tanza, Cavite. The former main office in the town proper was leased out as a commercial store.
- Computer system was upgraded via MBv8 with fully integrated core banking platform (CASA, General Ledger, Tellering, Loans)

BSP approved the conversion of Dasmariñas Satellite Office into a Micro Banking Office (MBO).

Bank becomes a proud member of BancNet, Inc., country’s biggest ATM consortium. First Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was installed at Head Office.

BSP approved the establishment of MBO at Rizal Street, corner Alfonso Road, Mendez, Cavite.
September 2013
Monetary Board of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas approved the consolidation of Rural Bank of Tanza (Cavite) Inc. and Rural Bank of Teresa (Rizal) Inc. to be known as Bangko Mabuhay (A Rural Bank), Inc. under the Strengthening Program for Rural Banks. As of June 30,2014, the consolidation is still pending approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
2015
Rural Bank of Tanza opened the 2015 with a proverbial bang in its quest to be a bigger and
stronger bank via the consolidation with another rural bank to form a new corporation.
This quest came true as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued on January 21, 2022 the Certificate of Filing Consolidation of Rural Bank of Tanza (Cavite) Inc. and Rural Bank of Teresa (Rizal) Inc. to be known as “Bangko Mabuhay (A Rural Bank), Inc.,” the bank’s new corporate name by virtue of its registration with the SEC. Under the law, the registration of consolidation with SEC makes the consolidation effective. Henceforth, on March 23, 2015, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas granted the Certificate of Authority to Operate the Consolidated Bank which commenced its operation on April 1, 2015.
With the consolidated bank in operation, its network is composed of the Head Office at Tanza, Cavite, six (6) branches and two (2) microbanking offices (MBO) located in three provinces, namely, Cavite, particularly in Bacoor, Indang,Naic, and Dasmariñas City; Occidental Mindoro at Mamburao; and additional branches in Rizal Province at Teresa and Tanay.
- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive information security program.
- Establish controls over the storage or transmission of customer information and its procedures.
- Recommend policies and procedures to govern database management and report creation to help ensure the effectiveness, usefulness and integrity of the bank’s ICT system.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of data.
- Enhance communication among employees thru the internet
- Review the current status of the bank’s information security.
- Review and monitor security incidents within the bank;
- Performs other duties as required.
