MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
I. SKILLS
A. EDUCATION: BSMT graduate with license. Preferably MALE applicant.
B. EXPERIENCE: At least one year experience in this profession. Familiar in hospital settings.
C. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Attends to patient for extraction ob blood samples and collect specimen for laboratory testing. Coordinates with members of the health team regarding availability of blood supply and all other examinations.
II. EFFORT
D. MENTAL EFFORT:
- Attends to patient for extraction ob blood samples and collect specimen for laboratory testing.
- Performs laboratory examinations such as, Hematology, Clinical Microscopy, Chemistry, Serology, Blood bank, Microbiology and other examinations available in the laboratory for send out.
- Ensures quality reagents and their availability for use and monitor (Quality Control) and do the standard deviation.
- Checks equipments,and documents all defective machines to facilitates their availability for use.
- Ensures safety of the working environment and the proper disposal of waste materials.
- Updates patients records on a regular basis. Compute the monthly income of the Laboratory
- Compute the the Professional fee of the Pathologist Updates Philhealth Logbook.
E. INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS:
- Attends to patient for extraction ob blood samples and collect specimen for laboartory testing.
- Coordinates with members of the health team regarding availability of blood supply and all other examinations.
F. WORKING CONDITIONS & HAZARDS:
- Exposure to communicable diseases.
- Ensures the accuracy of all laboartory results.
- Maintains safety of the working enviroment by proper disposal of waste materials.

- Ensures the accuracy of all laboratory results.
- Updates patients records on a regular basis.
- Double checks examinations on case to case basis.
- Checks equipments and documents all defective machines.
- Maintains safety of the working enviroment by proper disposal of waste materials.
