  • Accounts all items in the inventory list of the company
  • Verify all recorded properties
  • Identify unrecorded property and reconcile it in the property and financial system
  • Locate and identify missing items
  • Identify items that are in need of repair or are excess and may be disposed
  • Inspect inventories and improve accuracy of accountability of property
  • Implement and manage the property system of the company
  • Review requests for final events when lost, damaged, or destroyed personal property is reported to determine whether adequate controls and precautions were exercised
  • Ensure that property is fully utilized, safeguarded from misuse or theft, and that unneeded personal property is promptly reported for reutilization, redistribution, or disposal;
  • Ensure that property identification number (bar code) labels are affixed to the accountable personal property within their span of control;
