2. What Is My Work Personality Type?
Now that you know what you like most, it’s
time to find out what kind of work personality you have. There are
six types of work personalities, namely the Doer, Thinker,
Creator, Helper, Persuader and Organizer
types, Also known as the Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social,
Enterprising and Conventional fields. Identify the type were you
belong, and then see if the types of work enumerated is what you
like.
Are you the type of person with athletic
or mechanical ability, prefers to work with objects, machines, tools,
plants, or animals, and prefers to be outdoors?
You are the Doer. You like
to do things--literally. You excel in work detail and mechanical
areas. You also like physical activities.
Types of work: bookkeeper,
cashier construction contractor, encoder, flight attendant, medical,
medical assistant, pilot, statistician.
Are you the type of person who likes to
observe, learn, investigative, analyze, evaluate or solve problems?
You are a Thinker. You figure
things out and are fascinated hoe things work. You ask question
and are generally curious. You are also the logical type.
Types of work: accountant,
biologist, chemist, computer programmer, historian, legal assistant,
optometrist, pharmacist, police detective, professor, researcher,
surgeon.
Are you the type of person with artistic,
innovative or intuitional abilities, and who likes to work in unstructured
situations using your imagination or creativity?
You are a Creator. You enjoy
developing new ideas or reinventing old ones and have a very vivid
imagination. You belong to a group of innovators, explorers and
path finders.
Types of work: architect, composer,
copy writer, cosmetologist, disc jockey, editor, graphic artist,
interior designer, marketing supervisor, newscaster, model, singer,
writer.
Are you the type of person who likes to
work with people by informing, enlightening, helping, developing
and curing them?
You are a Helper.
You are natural caregiver, and you like to help other people. You
excel in service as you fallow your emotions. In short, you aim
to make a difference in others.
Types of work: college/ university
faculty, dietician, doctor, guidance councilor, human services worker,
medical technician, nurse, physical therapist, police officer, clergyman,
school teacher, social worker, telecommunicator.
Are you the type of person who likes to
work with people by influencing, persuading, performing, or leading
them for organizational goals or for economic gain?
You are a Persuader. You like
to study and analyze situations, and you try to sway the opinions
of others. You have a deep sense of self confidence, and you grow
restless with routine and structured jobs.
Types of work: adviser, announcer,
broker, insurance agent, lawyer, public relations specialist, purchasing
agent, radio commentator, sales representatives, school principal,
stock broker, talk show host, television producer.
Do you like to work with data, have clerical
or numerical ability, prefer to carry things out in detail and follow
through one other’s instructions?
You are an Organizer. You like
to have every thing go with the plan. You’re good at coordination
and you also socialize a great deal. You enjoy playing games with
others.
Types of work: Archivist,
finance manager, health services manager, hostess, hotel manager,
human resources, manager librarian, records clerk, social director,
stock clerk, travel agent, and urban planner.
