Really Want?
By now, you’ve hopefully chosen
the kind of career you want to pursue and the job it entails. Since
a career is a lifetime matter, remember to choose a job that you
know will lead you to more career satisfaction later on.
If you’re still confused what kind of career you really want,
then here’s a simple listing of things that interest you;
it’s basically a condensed version of all the things presented
in this chapter:
- If you love computers, you can possibly
apply as a Web designer, program analyst, graphic artist, computer
operator, encoder, network specialist, online editor or writer,
researcher or data programmer.
- If you have good communication skills,
you can be a radio or television broadcaster, writer, journalist,
public relations practicioner, entertainer, salesperson, agent,
business consultant, advertiser, counselor, teacher, medical technician
or marketing executive.
- If you like assembly or production
work, you can be a production supervisor, project manager, desktop
publisher, assembly line supervisor, construction executive, industrial
inspector, safety specialist, machinist or installer.
- If you enjoy mathematics and like
numbers, you can work as a banker, certified public accountant,
investment analyst, math teacher, statistician, finance specialist,
scientist or auditor.
- If you wish to under immediate supervision,
you can be a medical assistant, bank employee, security guard,
production worker, hotel or restaurant employee, nursing aide
or faculty member.
- If you are motivated by the desire
to help others, you can be a teacher, psychologist, nurse, police
officer, educator, social worker, architect, clergyman or pediatrician.
- If you like meeting people and working
in public, you can be a part of a resort or a hotel staff, human
resources personnel, public relations consultant, publicist, flight
attendant, travel agent, community workers, real estate agent,
telemarketer, hospitality of ficer or healthcare worker.
- If you dream of really becoming rich,
a high powered job is just right for you: lawyer, stockbroker,
television anchor, systems programmer or real estate developer.
- If you enjoy working within an organized
group or like being a tem player, you can be a news correspondent,
computer technician, mechanic, dental technician, electrician,
